An unmissable evening of live music curated by Wells-based Singer Songwriting duo The Portraits, a.k.a. Lorraine and Jeremy Millington. The duo are best known for their Christmas cover of Phil Oakey and Giorgio Moroder's 'Together In Electric Dreams' which featured a cast of young musicians and singers from Somerset and reached no 2 in the iTunes chart in December 2020 in memory of all the lives lost during the Covid-19 pandemic. The song featured on ITV's This Morning, BBC Radio 2's Steve Wright In The Afternoon, Channel 5's Jeremy Vine Show and was backed by Stephen Fry, Midge Ure, Matt Lucas and a host of other well known figures.

On 2nd December, The Portraits are curating a night of music featuring a fabulous array of talented local musicians to raise funds for the new Wells Contemporary Music Centre based at the Portway Annexe building, and will culminate in a special set by The Portraits themselves.

The £10 ticket price is exceptional value for an evening packed with music, and even includes a glass of mulled wine or juice and a mince pie.

There will be a high demand for tickets: do come and support this amazing new musical venture, a first for Wells and opening a new world of music to budding talent of all backgrounds and ages.
