From the recording GLOBAL HEARTBEAT

What started out as a tribute to Jo Cox MP, murdered in her North of England constituency whilst doing her everyday work to bring people together and heal division, became something of an anthem to heal the UK after its roughest period in recent political history following the Brexit vote and the rise in hate crime that followed it. As The Portraits have close links with France, having lived and developed their storytelling songwriting style there over an eight year period, they decided to translate the song into French to honour all those who've died in the terrible attacks up and down France during 2016. Now is the time for all of us to unite. Believe what you want, be who you feel you want to be. Don't be divided from others by fear. Nobody Can Ever Murder Love. Personne Ne Pourra Jamais Tuer L'Amour.
